This morning I went to Chilham to see the Great Grey Shrike. For most of the morning it was feeding in the field by the Sports Centre. It was nice to see it in such good light.

Clear and bright, though cold.

I went to Dungeness on Thursday.Seeing as the M20 had been turned into a giant car park, yet again.I decided to make a detour through Maidstone   - - - - BIG MISTAKE,GRID LOCK.It took me a full hour to get as far as Langley, where thank goodness,it finally cleared
I think this is a taste of things to come, considering the amount of new houses planned for the south east.

One drake and two female Smew were showing quite well from the Scott hide.(0930).Although they never came in as close as the Cormorant,I photographed.
