April 13th (New Hythe)

First ringing session of the year (06:30 - 08:00)

Brook House  ---Two Nightingales on site, both caught.

One was a new adult male (6) and the other was a bird that I first caught on the 18 05 2016,as an adult (6),so is a least six years old.I only heard one more bird and that was singing in the East scrub.

Most of  our breeding Nightingales should have arrived by now.I believe bad weather further south has been holding them up.Hopefully by next week they will be back on site.
