Rather misty start,clear later (0730-0930) 1X40ft,W scrub.

Chiffchaff  8 + 3 retraps two were first caught on 22 07 2016 and one on 30 07 2016

TOTAL  16 + 3 retraps  all were local young birds except for one.which was an adult Chiff.Which had nearly completed its full post breeding moult (most likely to have bred in the area).

August 27th (New Hythe)

Treecreeper

A two hour session in the west scrub between 0600-0800,produced four birds.

August 24th (New Hythe)

Lesser Whitethroat

Clear start,light overcast later,very warm.(1X40ft,west scrub,0600-0900).

August 23rd (Oare Marshes)

B T Godwit

Golden Plover

Avocet,Curlew Sandpiper,Little Stint,Ringed Plover and Dunlin.

August 16th (Oare Marshes)

I spent the morning at Oare marshes with five friends.High tide was about mid day and as a result the east flood was jam packed.Amongst the numerous B T Godwits,Avocets,Redshank,Dunlin and Golden Plover we noted,1 R L Plover,4 Little Stints,4 Greenshank and 2 Common Tern.We failed to locate the Spotted Redshanks and Bonaparte`s Gull.Our species total count was 45.

Clear,light northerly (1X40ft) west scrub (0600-0830)

Willow Warbler (3) young bird.

Clear,moderate northerly (0600-0930) 1X40ft,west scub.

Nice mixed catch this morning.

August 5th (Sandwich Bay)

Spoonbill

light overcast to start,clear later (0530-1200)

Just under seventy birds were ringed.The most notable being - 6 Garden Warblers,10 Willow Warblers,11 Sedge Warblers and 7 Reed Warblers.
