A nice surprise this morning was this G W egret feeding along the river (watched from Bucket wood).
It later flew off down river.Also seen,one each of Snipe and Common Sandpiper and small numbers of Teal,the latter have been present since about the beginning of this month.
Yesterday I caught the first of this autumn`s Goldcrests.Blackcap catches so far this autumn have been small compared to past years.
