March 22nd (Burham marsh)

I watched the Great White Egret for about three minutes.Before it flew off north at around 08:20.

The Red-necked Grebe was photographed on Abbey Mead,on the 19th. 

March 18th (Burham marsh)

Cloudy, occasional drizzle- O900-10:30 (meadow north of Burham church).

Canada Goose 63  Greylag 44  White -fronted 13  Gadwall 2  Mallard  6   Teal  4  Little Egret 2  Grey Heron 1  Med Gull 1  Black -headed Gull 20  Green Sandpiper 1  Black-tailed Godwit 2  Lapwing 4  Oystercatcher 1  Starling 60.

March 14th (Burham marsh)

This morning thirteen White-fronts were present on the marsh.The last time a flock was seen on the marsh (seven birds) was in mid December 1993.

March 9th (Burham marsh)

I walked around Burham marsh this morning.Eighteen White-fronts were present,but were spooked again by a helicopter flying over.Thirteen quickly returned,but overflew the marsh heading out towards the lakes.The other five birds went down onto the river.Lapwing had increased to fourteen,six of which were displaying.  

March 8th (Burham marsh)

 09:00 - 10:30 light cloud,cold.White-fronted Goose 16  Greylag 32  Canada Goose 76  Barnacle Goose 3  Shelduck 2  Lapwing 1.

At 09:40 the White-fronts,with a few Canada and Greylags.Flew up from the marsh and headed across the river towards the lakes.However,minutes later the White-fronts returned   

March 7th (Burham marsh and New Hythe)

 Burham marsh (09:00 - 09:45) Bright periods,cold.

White-fronted Goose 16  Greylag 34  Canada Goose  64  Barnacle Goose 3  Shelduck 7  Little Egret 1  Lapwing 1.

Bucket Wood (10:00 - 10:15)  25 Teal  6 Gadwall,1 Oystercatcher.At 10:15 the White-fronts came over from Burham marsh heading towards the lakes

Road Side Lake  10:30 - 11:45  watching the White Fronts.Three Buzzards over head and one Treecreeper also seen.
