Today a drake Scaup was found on the Railway lake.Possibly the same returning individual, the last photo is for a comparison (from December 2021)
It was still present on the 20th when I took the photos, along with the
Siskins that were along the southern edge of the Streamside lake.
On the 16th Glenn saw two flocks of of Brent passing over (probably heading for the south coast). One flock contained 61 and the other 103,he also found a nice drake Goldeneye on Tesco lake, unfortunately it didn`t stay around.
On the 9th,a G W Egret was seen feeding along the river again, along with 2 Green Sandpiper the day before.
Beaky,a Wood Pigeon that lost its upper mandible back in the summer is still coming into the garden for his daily feed.
This is the bird from December 2021,which is showing cleaner white flanks.
