December 24th (MEGA) at New Hythe 25th 26th 27th (28th and 29th Not seen)
This morning Glenn found a YELLOW WARBLER along the Mill stream.
The bird an American Warbler,is a first for Kent and I believe only the second mainland record to be found in Britain.
Well done Glenn,some Christmas present.
I finally caught up with it on the 25th at around 13:30,flycatching in a large Alder.
A Firecrest was a nice bonus while waiting for it to appear.
On the 26th it showed well in the same alders from about 10:30,still dull, poor light
27th Dull again.Bird showed just after mid day, until around 14:00.At least ten Chiffs were in the area along with two Firecrest. Two Wigeon were present on Alders.
