November 1st (CATCH UP)
The Pheasant was a garden tick, seen earlier this month (very unusual,as we are on a housing estate)
The Coal Tit,was only the second garden tick, the first was way back in 1981,Interestingly,this birds back looks to be grey, possibly a continental bird.
The Sparrowhawk,is a regular visitor during the late afternoon. We have a roost of House Sparrows in our front garden.
Peregrine Falcon (east scrub pylon) Leybourne Country Park),

September 28th - October 4th (Dorset)
Jeanette and I stayed in the small village of Osmington.Which is only a short dive away from Weymouth and more importantly, the RSPB reserve at Lodmoor.
0n the 30th,we drove out to Portland Bill.Where we witnessed a large movement of Blackcaps,Linnets and Meadow Pipits. The sea looked interesting, but as our time there was limited, I only managed to see one Arctic Skua and a small flock of Common Scotor.
Interestingly the Brent Goose at Lodmoor, was a Pale-bellied.
