Bright,SW,warm.
I was ringing at Sandwich Bay this morning.I left home in Snodland at 3:50 and arrived at the Obs in time for the first net round at 5:00.The nets were taken down at about 11:00,by which time things had slowed right down.
Although not a big catch, two of us were kept busy with a nice selection.Swallow,Garden Warbler,Willow Warbler,Robin,Great Tits,Long-tailed Tits,Blackcaps,Chaffinches,Wood Pigeon,Great-Spotted Woodpecker,Greenfinches,Wrens, and Reed Warblers. Two of the Reed Warblers were re traps, both I believe six years old.

Autumn migration at the Bay hasn`t got underway as such yet, most of the birds caught were local.

Butterflies seen included a Painted Lady,Marbled Whites,Speckled Woods,Peacocks,Small Coppers,Meadow Browns and Gatekeepers.
