February 27th (New Hythe)

 Bright,rather cold.

Three Redpolls,along with a small number of Siskins were feeding in the Alders along the northern end of Brookland lake.(photo,adult male redpoll,note pink flush,and rounded tail feathers,

                                        







The drake Scaup was seen on the Railway lake,in with a much depleted flock of Tufted Duck and the Goosander was seen at the southern end of Abbey Meads.
