November 11th/12th (New Hythe/Leybourne)

The Red head Goosander found on the 7th was still present this morning on Alders lake (southern end) along with 24 Pochard.Glen found two Redpoll at New Hythe and a Grey seal was seen from the Bucket wood mid week.

Walking around the Country Park this morning (12th) I see bramble has been cut, some patches down to ground level.Three large areas cut down along the Mill stream by the children's play area is part of an on going project to improve the the Mill stream overall.I just hope the Nightingales return in 2014 and there after.

On a different note,S W A fisheries are now going into the kidney lake (conservation lake). The gate will  be kept locked and hopefully keep vandals out.Which can only be a good thing.

Five Siskin were seen in with a flock of Goldfinch feedings in Alders by the Bucket wood and two flocks of Ring necked parakeets were seen one of five and the other of twenty five..
