Although we have had periods of southerly winds over the last week or more not much has been happening. This morning though this all changed, when the first Swallow and Sand Martins were seen high over Brookland lake and 2 Blackcaps were seen at Abbey Meads.Along the river from Bucket wood 6 Oystercatcher,1 Green Sandpiper and 16 Teal were present.Later during the afternoon Glenn had a Marsh Harrier flying high south over Abbey Mead. Two Red Kites were also seen, one by Glenn at New Hythe and the other by myself over my garden at Snodland.
