I spent the morning ringing at New Hythe-birds ringed 2 Nightingale,2 Great Tits,2 Wren,2 Blue Tits,1 Dunnock,1 Blackbird,2 Blackcap and 1 Chaffinch.

    Another good mornings work. Nice photo of the Nightingale, and some great shots of the male Blackcap singing.

    Hi Alan,
    I am interested in ringing myself but I have been unable to contact the trainer that the BTO recomended. Do you know anyone close to us that is able to train people?

    Hi Kieron,there are three trainers in the area,Ms L Muirhead and W M Jones who at the moment are not taken on trainees but E P Hood who lives near Maidstone is I think,but he rings at Sandwich at the weekends.If you enter Finding a ringing trainer BTO,you can send a email to the BTO and they will send back the trainers email so that you can contact them,it may be in your interest to contact all three.You are welcome to come out with me and see how you like it and then go on from there,its up you.
