After I had completed one of my squares for the Nightingale survey early this morning at Aylesford,I called in at the lakes and put up my small 20ft net in several locations in the Brook House area and caught two of the species,both of which were new birds.
While I was there I couldn`t resist taken more photo`s of the showy male.

  1. Alan paid New hythe a visit between 2 and 4pm today had 3 sightings in the East scrub and heard three others between ther and the walk back to brooklands via Abbeymeads.Sadly no photos

  2. Hi,yes good numbers at New Hythe again this year.The showy male sings along the side of the track leading towards Brook House.
