I spent the morning ringing at Sandwich Bay.Its one of those rare places these days where you don`t have the constant fear of a pack of dogs running through your nets.
I`m not sure of the true number we caught, but it was probably around twenty five. The catch included a handful of Swallows, several Garden Warblers,a Chiffchaff,I think just one Willow Warbler, several Common Whitethroats, a handful of Chaffinches, one Greenfinch and a nice re trap Wren, which I believe was either five or six years old.
The catches this month have been well down on previous years.
