Over these past two weeks of Lockdown, what`s life been like.Well, speaking for myself and the wife, not too bad.Its consisted of a  morning  circular walk with (continued)

our two dogs, which takes in the fields at the back of our estate, out towards the Downs at Paddlesworth and Birling and the old golf course at Ham Hill.luckily the weather has been a lot kinder than of late. Then in the afternoon, sky watching from the garden, punctuated with a bit of garden maintenance. .

Sky watching  - birds seen Gulls - Black headed, most numerous,Herring,Lesser black Backed and Commm, the latter two are regular spring migrants, passing over mainly in a westerly direction and over the past week,Med Gulls have put in an appearance.Common Buzzard are regularly seen,Kestral and Sparrowhawk, less so.
.
A few of the fields are now being ploughed and have produced, circa 400 Black headed Gulls, along with smaller numbers of Common,Herring and Med.Six Yellowhammer,4 Reed Bunting,4 Red legged Partridge and circa 10 Skylark have also been seen. The golf course has produced, six Linnet, singles of Kestral and Sparrowhawk,4 Green Woodpecker,2 Great spots,20 Meadow Pipits,3 Chiffs and 2 Blackcaps.Three pairs of Common Buzzard are within the walk,

I never tire of watching Buzzards.
