March 6th (Burham marsh and New Hythe)

09:00 - 12:00 light rain,clearing,cold.

I looked in on Burham marsh this morning.I arrived at 09:00.The White.fronts had increased to eighteen birds, from fourteen on Wednesday. Also present were the three Barnacle Geese and four Shelduck.Along the river I saw one Oystercatcher and eight Teal.At 10:00,all the Geese were spooked by a helicopter flying over. They flew across the river towards the lakes at New Hythe.Where I caught up with them on the Road Island Lake.
