March 1st (Garden)

There must be now,at least 50 or more Fieldfare feeding in close proximity to our garden.Crab apples are their main food source.Apples which I put out this morning,are also greedily eaten.

The female Reed Bunting (see last post) turned up late morning.

Redwings,are surprisingly absent.They are usually the first to enter gardens during a cold snap.
